We are looking for a new colleague who will help support the educational organization of the Electrical Engineering department on a technical level. You will work in a nice team with 2 other technicians. 

Job description

Your work mainly consists of supervising and supporting (Bachelor) students in carrying out practical lessons (hands-on labs) and projects. You inform and instruct students on the theoretical backgrounds, methods, and use of equipment.

You are responsible for preparing these practical lessons. For instance, you test all assignments beforehand and if there are problems, you come up with solutions yourself. Understanding which equipment to use is very important. You regularly consult with the responsible lecturer about the realization of assignments and projects. You are also involved in the development of practical assignments. You manage the educational laboratories, their inventory and documentation and keep everything operational. You ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations in the laboratory.

Functie-eisen

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following requirements:

• HBO (Bachelor of Engineering or Science) level with an Electrical Engineering/Physics background with additional work experience in the field.
• Affinity with education.
• Experience in supervising/providing electrotechnical practical lessons (hands-on labs) and experience with Design-based learning/Challenge-based learning (DBL/CBL) projects is a plus.
• A good command of the Dutch and English languages (oral and written).
• Proactive and independent attitude.
