JADS is a joint initiative of Eindhoven University of Technology and Tilburg University, located in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Job Description

The learning environment of the first year offers a wide range of training opportunities. Trainees are expected to actively steer their development through lectures and workshops offered by our PDEng program, electives offered by the Graduate School of TU/e, and through external sources. The mandatory curriculum of the first year is a blend of technical lecture blocks, workshops on professional skills, and training projects in real-life setting. In the elective part (about 30% of the first year) trainees are expected to refine and personalize their development through online courses, electives offered by TU/e, and data challenges. The backbone of first year learning environment are the training projects, which are used by trainees to integrate knowledge and skills elements by solving real-life challenges.

The project is related to a real-life problem and is constrained by time planning, project planning, and project deliverables. The trainee is coached by experienced design engineers and academic staff during the graduation project. The graduation project closes with the public presentation and defense in a close session with the examination committee.
