TU/e Innovation Lab is seeking a highly motivated professional to serve as a Business Incubation Program Manager (full-time) for its business incubation program. For this purpose you are required to have a strong background in supporting startups through an intense support program. TU/e and its strategic partners within the Brainport Ecosystem are intensifying their support to startups and potential entrepreneurs. For this matter, a full-scale support program is being created, in which you will play a key role. Together with the business developers from TU/e Innovation Lab and its partners you will contribute to the success of the program. You will report to the head of the Business Development unit (IP, technology transfer, student entrepreneurship and business incubation) and your work consists of the following:

  1. Develop a year-round planning of events, including content, speakers, venues etc. together with the event manager(s);
  2. Be responsible for organizing these individual events and all their logistics;
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with participants and contributors to the events;
  4. Support the head of the unit in further developing and professionalizing the program and events;
  5. Identify novel approaches to supporting startups through events, and define proposals to the head of the unit for such new approaches in a Brainport-tailored fashion;
  6. Representing the Business Development unit and the Business Incubation Program to stakeholders, (future) participants, contributors and others
  7. Act as the host during the events, be present on stage and speak enthusiastically to large audiences.

  • Encourage entrepreneurship and innovation by identifying, supporting and providing guidance for potential high-tech startups and spin-off companies originating at TU/e both at a researcher or student level.


Desired Skills & Experience

TU/e Innovation Lab is passionate about creating new business based on knowledge created at the TU/e. For that purpose we are looking for that special someone who shares our passion and is willing to give it all to help us to create the ultimate startup support program.

Minimum qualifications include at least 5 years of professional experience in startup support and its ecosystem, as well as hosting events and speaking enthusiastically to larger crowds. Other accomplishments may be considered.

Other required qualifications include:

  • the ability to work both independently and in a team situation, in a highly complex setting and under pressure;
  • able to deal with multiple different events in a short time;
  • strong oral and written communication skills, particularly in English;
  • demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills and good decision-making and negotiating skills;
  • affinity with elements involved in startup formation;
  • willingness to attend external events outside regular business hours;
  • definitely no 9-to-5 mentality.


  • A full-time position (38 hours per week), initially for the duration of 1 year, with the possibility to extend the contract during the lifetime of the projects that fund the position (3 years in total);
  • A gross monthly salary between € 3,545 and € 4,852 based on a full-time appointment (Projectmanager 4 / salary level 11) and based on background and experience; plus yearly 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year allowance;
