Are you interested in applying techniques from machine learning to solve problems in in operations management and industrial engineering? To apply for this position, you should have a research background in subareas of machine learning that lie on the interface with operations research (e.g. prescriptive analytics, reinforcement learning) and have an interest in applying machine learning in Operations Management. You will be part of the OPAC group, which traditionally has a strong presence in application domains such as logistics, maintenance optimization, manufacturing, and supply chain. You are expected to develop a research portfolio that lies on the interface between these application domains and one or more subareas of machine learning. You are also expected to contribute to the teaching activities of the OPAC group.
