Job description

What will you be doing?
With extensive experience in both operational and strategic recruitment, your main focus is to create opportunities and drive innovation to grow the success of our Talent Acquisition Team. In a natural way you will foster and grow the recruitment function and its position in the overall HR strategy.
As a manager you’ll lead a small, connected team that consists of Senior Recruiters and a Recruitment/HR Project Lead. There is a strong, integrated collaboration with Labor Market Communications and HR Services.

Additionally, this position includes the role of ‘topic lead recruitment’. You’ll take the lead in defining the strategic agenda of the recruitment function within the TU/e landscape, in close cooperation with our HRM Policy team. 

You like to be the face of the talent attraction team within the TU/e and you represent the team in an attractive and convincing way.

As an experienced recruitment professional, you do still enjoy hands-on recruiter work when needed. For specific roles you’ll collaborate smoothly with TU/e hiring managers and lead the strategic recruitment procedures.

Job requirements

We are looking for a colleague who wants to contribute to a high-quality professional service in an informal personal culture:

  • You hold a Master’s degree (or comparable in experience) and have at least 8 years of experience as a tested and proven recruitment professional.
  • You have a track record of successfully managing teams.
  • You know what is happening in the world of talent attraction and you are able to translate this in an attractive vision as well as an practical approach for the team.
  • You are creative, proactive, and demonstrate courage and determination, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch.
  • You have great organizational sensitivity and preferably you have experience within the context of Universities.

  • A monthly gross salary between € 5,495 and  € 7,056 for full-time employment education (salary scale 12 collective labor agreement for Dutch Universities).

The service consists of approximately 110 colleagues and is composed of the HR Operations, HR Business and HR Development divisions. About SQUAD 
HRM is part of the SQUAD program (Support QUAlity Drive). SQUAD is a relevant step in achieving our Strategy 2030 goals and provides HRM with opportunities to strengthen HR services, collaboration, and processes. HRM started the SQUAD program in April 2022. This will continue with the implementation of the HRM Change Plan in 2024 and beyond. The program aims to test the quality of HR service delivery at our university, among other things, through critical reflection, external reviews, and change plans.
