The Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is a partner in an alliance of leading European universities of science and technology that stated an international study program to jointly shape the engineering education of the future. This “EuroTeQ Engineering University” will be open not only to students enrolled at the partner universities but also to vocational learners and engineers who are interested in life-long learning.

The EuroTeQ initiative emerges from the EuroTech Universities Alliance, a strategic partnership of Technical University of Denmark (DTU), École Polytechnique (L'X), Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Technical University of Munich (TUM) as well as Ecole Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. For this project, EuroTech has brought two other strong partners on board: Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) and Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU, please see

TU/e, together with TalTech, is responsible for the creation of a virtual campus for the EuroTeQ universities. One of the main deliverables for this virtual campus is an overall course catalog that displays information of the courses given by the participating universities. In order to achieve this goal TU/e is reaching out to a Project manager EuroTeQ Virtual Campus

Job description

The project manager will, together with employees of the participating universities, take care of coupling an already existing course catalog through the Open Education API to the existing Student Information Systems of the universities and take care that the right adjustments are done to this connection at TU/e as well. The result of this project will be a working catalog that can display potentially all courses of the eight participating universities. Based on these course presentations a student can enroll in various courses at another university. The project manager will map the existing requirements of the course catalog to the busines requirements of EuroTeQ, identify and solve possible gaps and will be able to describe the selecting and enrollment process in a business process model. The project manager seeks a solution for the maintenance of this course catalog and will seek a solution for the enrollment procedure, based on already available solutions for identification.

The project manager will work under the supervision of the TU/e -program manager of the Virtual Campus work package and will have numerous contacts with project managers, IT-specialists, and experts on didactics at TU/e and the other universities.

Job requirements


To take on this challenging assignment the following characteristics are relevant:

  • At home in international settings, familiar with the world of universities, used to working in a politically driven environment;
  • Experience in running ICT- projects, combining a businesslike attitude with analytical skills;
  • Experience in translating educational needs to technical functionalities and knowing the way in the world of educational IT- systems;
  • A proven experience in ICT at an institute of higher education as an IT project manager and an IT-architect;
  • Minimum education requirement is a Bachelor degree.
