The General Affairs service is headed by the Secretary of the University and consists of the Executive Board Staff, the Executive Board Secretariat, and a number of units that are directly under the responsibility of the Executive Board, such as Operational Audit, Studium Generale and the Sports Center.
The Executive Board Staff is responsible, among other things, for supporting strategy and policy at the institutional level. This is organized in the thematic clusters Education and Research. In the Strategy 2030, the TU/e opts for a focus on a limited number of cross-disciplinary themes, giving shape to interdepartmental focus areas, making significant investments in these areas in the coming years and thereby creating a distinctive research profile.
In the role of policy advisor research you are part of the compact Research Cluster within the General Affairs service (4 FTE) and you work closely with your colleagues within the team, the Rector Magnificus and with colleagues within the departments. You also have regular contact with colleagues of other services and you participate in university meetings on relevant research topics.

We offer a fulltime (1,0 fte) employment position with a gross month salary in the range of € 4.406,- and € 5.656,- (scale 12) based on your education and experience. An appointment of 0,8 fte is also possible. Besides that, we offer an annual holiday allowance of 8%, an annual end of the year bonus of 8,3%, a total of 41 days of paid holiday leave and a broad package of fringe benefits (including an excellent technical infrastructure, savings schemes, child care and excellent sports facilities).
