The service department Library and Information Services (LIS) service is responsible for the entire demand - supply chain in the fields of information management, IT and library services. The service department has transformed into a product-oriented structure, with empowered product teams responsible for professional service provision and further development of their product. In consultation with stakeholders, requirements are collected, prioritized and aligned. LIS embraces the agile mindset and working methods. The service department consists of seven Product Areas: Services, Library and Open Science, Research, Education, Corporate, Data & Insights and Platforms.

Job description
The Product Area Corporate contributes to efficiency and effectiveness of business operations by offering intelligent solutions and integrated standard platforms. We focus on optimized end-to-end processes, scalable architecture and reusability.

Within the product area Corporate, the Communications and CRM team is responsible for the service delivery of the TU/e communication business operations landscape. The team works in close cooperation with the other LIS Product Teams and colleagues in the Communication Expertise Center.

In our Communication & CRM functional team we manage a broad selection of applications, a.o.:

  • Aluminate
  • Azorus
  • Copernica
  • Sharepoint intranet
  • Salesforce
  • Typo3
  • And soon Microsoft Dynamics!

We are looking for an enthusiastic new colleague to join the team! Someone who preferably has knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and is looking for a new challenge in an environment with some interesting projects ahead.

Collaboration is one of the most important values of our team. The Communication and CRM team is a strong team working in an informal way. Both process and solution oriented, looking for root causes and continuous improvement. Trying to deliver an excellent service to our customers every day.

Within this product team, you work with various disciplines according to the agile method and you will focus on the Communication and CRM needs within the university. Outside your team, you will also be working closely together with other product teams within the field of corporate, communications and education and of course business representatives from our faculties.  

Summarized you will work on the following aspects:

  • A newly started project implementing Microsoft dynamics.
  • After this project is completed, you could be working on new projects or just on functional management for all kinds of communication processes.
  • 2nd line support on our applications, meaning; assess impact analysis for RfC (Request for Change) calls, based on business needs and requirements.
  • Translate user needs into functional requirements.
  • You are a serious partner for our key-users and other business representatives.
  • Keep in touch with technical experts, both internally and from suppliers.
  • Design and/or support interfaces between systems, including functional designs, testing and managing API connections.
  • Support and participate in upcoming projects/implementation of new communication tools and solutions.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor working and thinking level.
  • Our primary language is English, therefor: professional written and spoken communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Preferably proven track record within Microsoft Dynamics and/or other CRM applications.
  • Knowledge of/experience with student recruitment preferred.
  • Experience with Agile working (Scrum) or in Higher Education is a plus.
  • Proactive/hands-on work approach, and able to work independently.
  • Result-oriented, analytical and with a critical mindset.
  • Engaging team member with enthusiasm, who is customer- and result oriented.

Conditions of employment

An exciting position within an international yet personal university. You are right in the middle of the students, on a green campus within walking distance of the central station. We also offer you:

  • A gross monthly salary of minimum € 3,537 to maximum € 5,331 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (salary scale 9/10 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
  • In addition to vacation pay, also a structural end-of-year bonus of 8.3% (one extra month). 
  • With a 40h workweek 40 holidays.
